In a unique partnership between display giant Christie and Arsenal Media, parent company of Arsenal Integrated, customizable products that optimize the possibilities of Christie’s groundbreaking MicroTiles™ are being proactively developed, ready to customize and backed by an end-to-end solution for customers.
“The tiles give end-users some amazing opportunities to work with big visuals and shapes in ways that just weren’t possible before. There was a void in the marketplace for a company that could help sports franchises, retailers, museums and facility operators develop the big idea, and then also make it happen,” says Denys Lavigne, president of Arsenal Media and Arsenal Integrated. “This collaboration makes it possible. Christie’s Managed Services division has developed such high standards in deployment management, technical support and monitoring services. Their expertise is key to ensure that our clients’ investments in innovative solutions consistently deliver their business value.”
In this innovative partnership, Arsenal Integrated handles initial vision and concept for clients, all the way through creative, technology components and integration, project management, deployment and ongoing content support. Christie supplies display technology and technical support, and world-class, post-installation, remote management monitoring and control through its new Christie Managed Services offering for digital signage.
“Arsenal is recognized as an expert in digital signage content strategy and application integration. Partnering with Arsenal allows us to deliver complete solutions that meet customers' needs for an end-to-end integrated digital display solution," says Sean James, vice president, Managed Services, Christie.
Arsenal Integrated developed out of a long-running relationship with Christie Digital Systems, a global leader in high-end display technologies that invented MicroTiles and launched them commercially in late 2009. Arsenal Media has been Christie’s lead creative team as the company’s marketing and engineering groups planned and executed the global product launch.
A working version of the Miami Dolphins rebranded interactive BuzzWall, already in use at the team’s home stadium, has been stacked up and activated to run in Christie’s DSE booth (#1629) at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Tuned to the Dolphins’ integrated media and marketing strategies, the immersive display combines an irregular cluster of 42 MicroTiles, video servers, touch sensors, mobile integration, sound and supporting vinyl print graphics.
Arsenal and Christie are also using the event as a showcase for the Virtual Shelf, a multimedia application that serves as a merchandising tool with both physical shelf space and a consumer interactive inventory display. Like the BuzzWall, the digital fixture combines MicroTiles display technology with gesture-based interactivity to give consumers virtual access to a retailer’s entire inventory. With the Virtual Shelf, retailers can design an unlimited display combination of live and virtual products, significantly expanding options for in-store marketing strategies.
Arsenal Integrated tailors the technology solution to the project, and works with numerous hardware and software companies. One of its lead vendor partners is Float4 Interactive, a gesture-based technology company also located in Montreal, where they share a multimedia lab. Float4’s unique software has been used in several MicroTiles applications, including the Buzzwall at Sun Life Stadium project.
