High-impact digital visual projects in corporate and public venues are quickly growing commonplace, but they only truly work when they deliver an experience that respects key parameters, says the head of award-winning creative agency Arsenal Media.

“Experiential can’t be just a buzzword,” says Denys Lavigne, Arsenal Media’s President, who will be passing on his experience and point of view at a pair of extended presentations next week at Digital Signage Expo (DSE) in Las Vegas. “Experiential requires a concrete approach that allows brands to connect with the audience at a much deeper level and fully leverage the investments in digital installations.”

Montreal-based Arsenal Media has been particularly active over the past five years in the delivery of best-of-class experiential installations, many of them featuring ultra-high resolution content at 4K, 12K and even 24K.

Lavigne is a featured speaker at the DailyDOOH Video Wall Unplugged Summit, a pre-conference summit Feb. 11 organized in collaboration with DSE. He and Arsenal’s Art Director Pierre Del Duchetto will explore the Science behind Experiential Video Walls.

“This type of installation confronts us with so many variables that redefine how we plan, deliver and manage digital signage installations,” says Duchetto.

Both are speaking again on Feb. 12 at a DSE seminar addressing the challenges and opportunities in producing ultra-high resolution content.

SPEAKING FROM EXPERIENCE

They’ll draw on their own recent work, which includes stunning creative for video wall installations for Christie Digital Systems, Viacom and Morguard Real Estate, on projects delivered in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and Ottawa.

Some of these projects have already been cited as top finalists for the 2014 DSE Awards, among them a massive high-resolution wall in the lobby of Christie Digital’s Los Angeles offices. The celebrated installation is nominated for Best Content and Best Installation concept.

Other DSE award finalist nominations include Best Content for the Montreal Congress Center and Best Installation concept for a project that celebrated the launch of the 4G network of Kazakhstan Telecom. Winners will be announced at a Las Vegas gala dinner Feb. 12.

Arsenal will also be present on the DSE show floor, and is scheduling private meetings and presentations at Room 353. In addition, the agency has supplied digital content for RP Visual Solutions’ booth, a strategic partner.
